From September 2021 the careers team will introduce the opportunity for students and parents/carers to request Careers Advice and Guidance as part of the annual EHCP and transition review process. This will be either through liaison with their local authority careers adviser network, or at Camphill Wakefield.
Our full careers provision document can be found here.
How we work with local partner employers
Camphill Wakefield and the ACE team continue to build excellent links with a range of local businesses and employers. Students will receive opportunities to take part in employer encounters and experiences relating to their chosen career aspirations.
Employers will be invited to visit Camphill Wakefield to find out about our students and the learning pathways, and will be encouraged to come and speak to the students about their workplace. Employers who engage with our work experience and work placement programme will receive support to set up these experiences, and will be supported throughout all placements.
Our current partner employers can testify to the quality of these experiences, and to the benefits to the businesses from engaging with Camphill Wakefield and our students.
The ACE Programme contains information about our work placements with local employers.
Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic all employer visits to the college, and student visits to employers are currently cancelled. The careers team will review this each half term, and will source alternative Employer Encounter opportunities where possible.
